amp fried

I blew both 25a fuses from my amp (boss c-1200) and I only played my music for about 10 sec. Put new fuses in now the amp dont come on. every time i hook the ground up for the amp i smell smoke. Could this be a ground problem? also with this question being asked i tried different ground points and it still doesn't come on.
