Amp for two Sa-12's in 3.77 Ft^3 box.

So, I went to get my ONXY MB QUART 1600.1 watt amp set today. So while we were setting the gains, my buddy says they can take more power due to them barely moving. They sound loud but im not sure if I need a bigger amp or if I have a bigger problem. I noticed a tiny leak in the box too that I need to seal up. What do yall recommend? Bigger amp? Nicer amp? Box is 3.77Ft^3.

Your amp has enough power for them. I only run about 650 a piece. They can take up 1200 Daily safely if you set the gains properly.

maybe my gains are set to low then. Or my amp just *****.

EDIT: watching vids of Sa-12's they seem much louder on Youtube. My truck doesn't even vibrate.

your amp is fine, Did you set the gains with the DMM method or did you just guess?

The rubi is ok but you shouldn't need that much power.

I set it by ear then took it to a buddy who set it by ear. The subs are not moving that much at all. Maybe 3mm

The reason i asked is cause my buddy may need an amp at that power and i was gonna buy two. One for me and one for him.

Im gonna go set it with a DMM and see if anything changes.
