amp for ssa icon

i need an amp for an SSA icon 10".

~1000W @ 4 ohms true power. im trying to keep it below 300 shipped.

candidates so far:

fusion nv 2500

power acoustik pa3000db

for now ill be running it with my cadence txa 1000d but looking to upgrade soon. any suggestions? thanks.

...and why do you want to go with a 4 ohm load???? Go with a 1 ohm load... getting the same power at a 1 ohm load compared with a 4 ohm load is 99% of the time cheaper... Audioque 1200d comes to mind real quick....

i wanna do 4 ohms cause the cadence im pretty sure doesnt give me 1000W more like in the 800-900 range, and if i get a new amp now, might as well get one for later on in case i want to upgrade if that makes any sense.

i would just run the cadence at 1 ohm and see how it is before replacing it.

So... You're saying you want an amp that does 1000 at 4 ohms, but at 1 ohm is even higher?? Say, 3000 @ 1 ohm but 1000 @ 4 so that if you want to upgrade in the future you can just move down to a 1 ohm load??

In my opinion, upgrade later when you actually need to.. the cadence will be fine on the icon.

yes exactly. i think that's what i'll end up doing since the gas prices right now are killer and need to save as much money up for that as possible ha.
