Amp for ss rl-s 12

Looking for good ideas on an amp to run my rl-s. I had it on my 400x but it has a loose connection and I will have a new job for it when I get it fixed. Looking to give it 1500-2500 at 4-ohms. Any suggestions would be nice. Was thinking a jbl bpx2200 but they are hard to find. I don't want a cheap made amp. This sub sounds too nice for crap power.

I have a solid 1kw at 4ohms, but seems like you're wanting more. Maybe try to stumble upon a good deal with one of those old school PPI 2x350's(don't remember exact model), that'll give you 1400 watts once bridged.

I know what you mean. I looked at the 2500bdcp for quite a while as a do it all power amp for me but not for the 800+ they go for. I have plenty of amps that will do my needed power at other ohm loads. My 400x is the only one that puts out POWER at 4-ohms. Its rated at 1500 but there is no way it is only putting out that. I have 1/0 running from a 250a alt on an optima with a kinetik (HC1600??) in the back and I can't keep it satisfied. I am using my PT-800 on it right now lol. Runs cool and uses almost no current but it doesn't have the balls I need. Hopefully I don't blow it for the time being but you can tell the sub is bored with that power. IT's hungry.
