I just bought a 10in kicker l5 DVC 4 ohms that can handle 450watts rms, and now i need an amp but i have no idea what to get. I dont know much about car audio, but i would like to spend around 150 on an amp. What do you guys suggest?

im not sure you can really get a amp that can truly give 450 rms for 150 bucks. this amp would work perfectly with a L5 but you need to pony up about 299.99 for it. in my experience with kicker products the best way to go is match kicker amps to kicker subs for best performance. they make a amp for almost every sub they have

why would you use that big of an amp, you have to find an amp at 500 watts @ 2 ohms, kicker makes one kicker zx500.1

umm its not that "big of an amp" the 4 ohm sub wired parallel down to 2 ohms. just cus that kicker 750.1 says 750.1 rms @ 2 ohms. trust me its full of sh*t keep ure gaines adjusted it will work perfectly .from personal experience with the 750.1 and every kicker solo sub the 750.1 will work with that sub.

i understand your point ive only seen that amp on a 12 inch L5 , so relax its not that big of a deal just trying to help someone, sorry if i gave a suggestion you didnt approve of
just saying from experience. not trying to put you down. kicker if anything from my personal experience overrates there amps output @ times. just gotta be brave and mix n match

Just saying....You're a Fvcking idiot. If anything, Kicker way underrates their amps. Your a moron.

Kicker does underrate the amps which most people know. But, you also have to factor in impedance rise so the 750.1 would be alot better match then say the 400.1. I personally would go with the 750.1 if you have the money but if you want a good budget amp you can look at profile amps. They are great bang for the buck amps and can be had new on their website for a cheap price. You could also buy used on this forum. You can normally find alot of good deal's on this site.

i used to have a zx750.1 and the birthsheet said 889 at 14.4. thats pretty underrated if you ask me since it's supposed to do 750......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
