Amp for Crystal Microsound COMP X215

OK BOTTOM LINE.

so say I get 2 CrystalCMPX215 running off of one Memphis 4000 watt sub. Now this will split the wattage up between the 2 of them making it 2000 per Sub right? Each of them runs at 1600 watts RMS with a peak power of 2600.

So running them at 2000 each would be good or better than running them 2500 to them a piece? right? (I was previously going to run the 2500 watt kickers to them a one a piece.)

Also I don't know sh*t about my head unit or any head unit or WTF is a head unit for that matter but I DO KNOW i'm gonna need more power than what my alternator can produce on it's own.

But let me just post the system I am going to TRY to create and you tell me if it's OK or it sucks balls or if it's impossible.

If it's ok can someone please tell me whether or not to get a cap cuz PhatTonyDeMarco says capacitors are useless. and if THEY ARE useless is the'yre any other way to get more power short of buying a bigger alternator.

1 Memphis 4000 watt powering 2 Crystal COMP2X15

OR

2 Kicker 05KX2500.1 2500W x 1 @ 2 ohms powering 2 Crystal COMP2X15

please keep in mind that I live in Texas which is right above Mexico and had G. Bush as the governor at one point so if i come off as a dumbass...I have an excuse.

HAHAHAHA!!! You are funny as hell.

There is no such thing as a dumb question, we are all here to learn and periodically do a little *****in. LOL!! I would definitely have to agree with PhatTonyDeMarco in saying that caps provide little or no assistance. A big fat boy (not the actual name) battery would definitely help a lot more than a cap. If I were you, I would look into doing the Big 3, an Optima Red top battery up front and an Optima Yellow Top in the back and of course use 1/0 gauge for all of your power and ground wiring. The amps most likely won't accept wire that big, but get as close to your amps with the 1/0 wire. I can't emphasize enough that current travels the path of least resistance.

If it were me, I would do the Memphis 4000 with the 15's if this is going to be a daily setup?? However, if this is an SPL setup I would probably do the 2 kicker 2500's on the 15's.

When someone says headunit they are referring to your CD/Tape/FM player. The manufacturer product manual or website should have info about your headunit. Let me know if you have any other questions and I will try to help you to the best of my ability.

Ok heres a question...WHY THE F*CK does a Souns Stream XXX - 15" run at RMS 8500 watts and a max of 17000watts for cheaper than the W7 13.5 " and the Solo X

18". Keep in mind that this is more power than the F*CKING MTX Jackhammer 22"?????WTF I have no Idea........

Also which is the better Sub for SQ and some SPL.

Crystal CMPX215

Sound Stream XXX - 15

Solo X 18"

Alpine Type Rs

W7 13.5

(I also here alot about Brahmas but we can't find crap on those.)

What's going on here is me and my friend are tryin' to find the best Sound System for a good price and we don't want cheap wal-mart/ghetto stuff. We started out with like 2 CVRs and we were like...thats loud as f*ck. Then we searched on the internet and then we find that the CVRs are average and would get handled in comps. And EVERYTIME we get on the net we always find something better.

As previously mentioned I was looking at the 15" Crystals and my friend wanted a Solo X 12". We're pretty much gonna spend as much money as we can get on our systems so we wanna be ABSOLUTELY sure were not buying crap that gets shown up at comps by 10" Pyles running on dual 400 watt Sony Xplod amps that cost like $50 at your nearest Autozone/Wal-Mart.

Oh and if ANYONE can tell me where I can find this Amp...

Memphis The MOJO 16-M2000D 2000 RMS @ 2 Ohms

Cuz even the **** memphis website doesn't have it listed.
