I've seen 450 bucks for a 1000/1 jl amp. Granite it is used but as long as it's in good condition and works, why not get more for your $$. Imo, JL is still overpriced.

Skar will receive mixed reviews because of the owner but the stuff seems to do rated. Not sure about quality and longevity. I've heard nothing but good things about NVX amps but again can't comment on quality and longevity.

1 or 2 have tested to do over rated, the rp 1500 does like 1250rms which is fine for the $ but u can get the soundqubed 1250 for $179

Thanks for the help! What are your thoughts on the RF prime r1200-1d. It does 800x1@ 2 ohms. As I saw earlier, I can tone that down to meet my needs. I found one for $210.

I've always liked RF products and they will do over rated in my experience. With your price range and power range, you have tons of great options.

Good to know. I have the list narrowed down to about 12 amps. The RF1200 as my 1 choice. However Jbl and Infinity and Kicker have nice options @$200. But for 10 dollars more I can get remote bass knob, subsonic filter. I really like the JL amps, but at almost double the price, I don’t think I will get any performance difference.

I wouldn't spend the money on Jl personally. I don't use bass knobs but know people that have to have them and others that don't use them. Definitely get whatever you will not regret getting since your wife is giving you one chance lol

Just an update. Spent all weekend pondering this. I just ordered the RF Prime R1200-1D. Got it brand new for $208 shipped. I went with this model for the overhead, price, and the remote knob. From my understanding, when I hook up the remote knob, I will have my gain set to my 600 Watts, then have the knob turned up all the way then plug it in. I like this feature as I do not want the subs to be on when the whole family is in the car for long trips. It will be nice to turn them down or as far close to off as I can when needed. Thanks again for all the help everyone I will let you guys know how it sounds.
