Well i have a list of subwoofers i am considering, but i heard great things sql wize about the d6s. They are cheap and hopefully what i am looking for. What would be some good amps to consider powering these with? Since subs arent very expensive i would like to retain from spending more than $300 and actually looking to spend around $200- $250. Any help is appreciated.

well you probably need about 1000-1500 watts. for 200-250 you'd probably have to buy used for a decent amp. the kicker kx 1200.1 and diamond d6 1000.1 are my suggestions though they are over 300.

ED Nine.1, 1200D, Viper 1200.1, Lanzar 1200D, a thousand choices bro

1200w on a pair of D6's would do very well, and these are a couple of choices

You COULD pick up a used KX1200.1 for a reasonable price, and I will vouch to it that Kicker makes incredible stuff

No offence, but its kinda stupid to buy good subs and feed them unclean power. Its like buying a ferari and droping a v6 in it. Your better off saving your money untill you can purchash a nice amp. Like the D61000.1 mine puts out around 1300w

Yeah i dont want no durty power, but i dont want to but a $600 amp for some $150 speakers ya know. I saw the D61000.1 on ebay for $300 + shipping, but i wasnt thinking it put out more than it says. Is that amp/sub combo is good with SQ and SPL?

yes it is, i just had it in my car. i had the m6mkii which is the same thing as the d6, the combo is pretty nice. you'll like it. loud enough for me, which is pretty loud and great SQ hitting every note when i listen to rock. if you want more power, look into the d6 1500.1, im waiting for it to come in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. but the nine.1 and the viper are excellent choices also, people have had both amps with those subs and had great results.

The D61000.1 might do more than the kilowatt it is rated for when fed an actual 14.4vdc but it won't be a huge margin....150~200 or so...and 1200w on a pair of D6 12s is plenty enough to make 'em wang.

I run 600w to a single M6mkII 12" (same sub but older) and it likes it just fine. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

cool, i am thinking and hoping that 2 12"d6s will be louder than my single 02 12"

L7. It has an audiobahn amp putting a lil under 800watts to it. I know that it will sound way the F*** better, but can i get them louder and still remain good SQ? What kinda box would be better, 1.25cuft tuned to 32hz or .875 sealed? thanx guyz

these subs sound great in ported boxes, the 1.25 sounds good but you might wanna do 1.5, even though diamond recommends 1.25. for sealed, the .875 will be good, but a rep i talked to said 1.0 will be optimum for both sq and spl.
