Amp for 12 BM

I'm helpin one of buddies out with his system. Since the BM's are so cheap he picked one up and now i'm just trying to figure out which amp he should go with. He's lookin to spend right around $250. I've been checked out a few but cant decide. Any rec's are appreciated. Wanted to get him a used ARC but i think it might be too much power.. Can you throw 900 plus at a single bm?

No, 900 watts is not a good idea.

They are rated 500 RMS and will reach mechanical excursion limits with that much power without a problem in most applications.

I know quite a few people use the SAE-1000D @ 2 ohms for a single BM.

If u get that Arc and u know how to set ur gains correctly u can set it so the subwoofer only see's 500rms max. It's always good to have overhead anyways.
