Amp flashin protect/power, Anyone know?

My mid/Highs amp just decided to stop working the other day. I wasn't pushing it to hard at all, I actually have it way down on the gain because it's to much for my one set of RF t1 comps that i had in (was just starting to put things in) It's a Memphis 16-mca5004. It now flashes between power and protect (fast) So it won't come on. I opened it up and there is no visual sign of something wrong. unhooked speakers one at a time in hopes something was shorting out, No luck. Took the amp out hooked it straight to a battery i had laying around with the same results. Anyone know what this could be or what went wrong? Thanks!

recheck your grounds and speaker ohm loads with a dmm

I did it took the amp out and put the power to + and the Ground to - on a batt in the garage just to see if it was something in my ride doing it and it still did it.

Had that problem with an AP1500 and it was because the voltage dropped too low and the amp was in a half protect mode. Unplugged the power wire and it reset the amp. No idea what is wrong with yours though.

u have a short most likely in the power supply.
