It seems like my sub amp won't power up unless I drive a few blocks (when I first start the car). At the same time my 4 channel amps works fine.

Any suggestion before I start to troubleshoot. Maybe start with ground and remote turn on?

The 4 channel and sub amps share the same location for ground.

Probably needs a new starter.

For real though, thats not exactly normal behavior. Id go around and check all the wires to make shure they all have good contact and are not cut and shorting out on anything. Quick and easy way to tell if the amp is dying is just get a piece of wire and tap into the amps power and put the other end on the remote turn on lead and see if it powers up no problem. If not, youve got some issues.

I will try your suggestions. As far as getting a new starter, my car is almost new and its new a civic L0L (just in case you wondering if the starter is strong enough).

thanks,

tony
