Amp differenece

what the difference of getting a mono amp to power sub then getting a high power 2 channel amp and bridging it. isnt a 2 channel cheaper than getting a mono amp. what the pro and cons?

Mono amps are usually class d, and therefore generally are more efficient than 2 channel amps.
