Amp dead = New system

Amp died after 7 years and need a new one, so might as well get new sub.

Current are 2 JL10w0 (7 years old as well) get about 300wRMS. Loved them though

Want to switch to 1 10 or 12'' sub and keep around 300-500wRMS, and good SQ. Dont need to bump anymore. What are your ideas on Sub and Amp?

Seems the ID10v3, IDQv3, and maybe JL10w6v2 or JL10w3v3 all sparked my interest. What is the difference in 10 and 12'' sub? Deepness of bass? Would 1 12 be more like my 2 old 10's?

a bigger sub is gonna push more air (which would hit harder) but what are the wattages of the subs your lookin at?

IDQv3 was about 500RMS and IDv3 was about 400RMS i think.

Given that my previous 2 10's only had about 300wRMS total, would a single 10'' that got 400-500RMS hit just as hard?

no.....2 10's will be louder than a single 10 although the RMS for 1 sub is about the same as the two. there is more cone area with 2 10s so it can move more air. I like the IDQv3; i say get two of them.

I would get 2, but I would like the extra trunk space and less weight. Also 2 of the IDQ's will put the RMS around 1000, which means more cash into an amp, which i would rather put into my new Alpine 9861 and screen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif .

So would getting a 12'' be a better fit if I was to stick with 1 sub.

Wonder what the chances are of reusing my sealed JL box that my 10''w0's are in if i got 2 10'' IDQv2's?

What would you suggest... a ID10v3 or the IDQv2? Both seem to be about same price.

i think w6 sounds better than idqv3. I have listened to both side by side in recomend. sealed enclosures

Also can anyone let me know if I will dissapointed in moving from 2 JL 10'' subs that had like 300wRMS total, to a single 12'' IDQv.3 or like an IDMAXX. I know it can take more power, but how much bump and I going to be losing with only a single?
