anyway i hooked up my *new* amp.. supposed to put out 284 x 2 @ 4 ohms... i set the gains to 225 watts.. and the volume at 25 of 35.. once my music hits a certain volume .. it will cut out almost instantly (has to be heavy sections of the song and usually volume 22ish) and will come back in like 2 seconds... cut out again in 2 seconds ect... so its not overheating.. and if i turn down the volume a click or two there is no problem whatsoever...
im hoping this is a ground problem - but the only way to get to my ground.. im gonna have to remove a lot of stuff.. so i was just curious what you ppl think it might be.. i hope its not that the amp cant handle the change in impedance.. i dont think its too big of a voltage drop cause im only pushing like 700 watts.. and i dont htink its a bad amp cause my old jbl had this same problem only it seemed to take a little more before it cut out..
and i would also like to say thankyou jbl who accepted my broken amp and replaced it with a new one no questions asked =) and for those who say most amps sound alike.. well i been using my old sony while this exchange was taking place.. and my jbl sounds so much clearer that its almost like im listening to new speakers..
