Amp cuts out please HELP!!

I've got an Soundstream 800.5 in my 00 civic. The sub is connected to my 10w6v2 at 2 ohms (400 rms) no prob there. Channels 1/2 are connected to my front kappa components no prob there (even with gain up all the way). Channels 3/4 connected to my rear 6"x9" kappas in the rear. The problem is when I turn up the gain for channels 3/4 not even 1/4 of the way the amp cuts off. I can't figure out why. I don't think power is an issue I have 4 gauge wiring, big 3 done, and also have an brand new optima yellow top ( the problem was existant even before the yellow top, and even when I purchased it.) I currently have 3 sets of rca's running to the amp from my H/U. 1 for the sub, 1 for the front , and 1 for the rear. I can't seem to figure out the problem. The amp is new purchased not even 3 months ago do you think there is a problem with themn amp?

Switch the front and rear rca cables, if the problem goes to the front channels of the amp, it is either a bad rca cable or bad head unit. To test for the cable issue, swap the ends of the rca cables again, this time at the head unit end. If the problem goes to the rear again then it is a rca problem, if it stays the same it is a head problem. If no problem is found with this test, then disconnect the rear speaker wires and hook to the front outputs and vice versa. Does the problem stay on the rear channels or is it now on the front? If it is on the front, chances are that you have a bad speaker or a speaker wire going to ground. If the problem stays in the rear, then it looks more like a bad amp.
