Amp Cut Off

I have a 15 Type R DVC 2ohm wired to 4 ohms runnig off a PG Titanium 600.1

600x1 @4ohms. The amp cuts off after about 2 minutes of play at max volume.

I have a 4 guage wire from the battery to a 2 way fuse block. I have The 600.1 on a 8 guage from the fuse block. I am also runnig a Kenwood Kac-744 on the other wire. Im running a Audiobahn 3 way crossover and the battery and remote wire are jumped from the Kenwood(could this be the problem?).The sub amp has its own wires.Oh and no capacitor, my lights dont dim during play.

Well I guarentee you are sending your amp into protect mode... Playing it at "max volume" is not a good thing to do. Set you gain properly, get a DMM to do this. Read the tutorial in the Gain Setting sticky in the amplifier section. You are clipping your amplifier, which will eventually kill both the amp and the sub.

Read the tutorial in the Gain Setting sticky in the amplifier section. You are clipping your amplifier, which will eventually kill both the amp and the sub.

I dindt mean all the way up its 30 of 40 max on my HU. I turned the gain down on the amps to about 3/4 and it still did it.

Set your gain properly... IF you turned it down to 3/4, then it was higher than that, which is idiotic to do if you did not originally set the gain correctly. Get a fucking DMM, and solve the problem.
