I currently have an audiobahn A8000t and some sony xplod 1000max temperary amp. Its hot now and im sure unbarable in my trunk and after about 15-20min of jammin one of the amps will cut off for prolly 1 min. and then comes back on and will cut out a lil bit later. I think its the sony amp just because its sony and doesnt have a cooling fan or even heat sinks or vents or anything, but when i touch them they are too hot to touch for more than 2 seconds.

Thinking about creating some type of cooling system. What all can i do about it? Would taking the top off the amp help cool it or what all can i do to help cool it down?

i wouldn't recommend this but i had a dual amp and it used to get really hot to so i took the cover it and put a small computer fan on it...worked for a while then it blew it was a piece of ish.
