Amp constantly Overheats... anyone got any idea what's up?

I have an Audiobahn A8000V and 2 MTX T7510-04s wired in parellel.

My wiring kit is 4 gauge, and my speaker wires from the amp to the subs are 16 gauge.

It overheats after like 2 songs and goes into protection mode.

Anyone got an idea where I should start looking to solve this problem?

Ground wire, improper speaker hookup to a ohms rating that the amp can not do, or something else.

what does the voltage at the amp drop to while it plays?

around 13.1 on hard hits, then back up to about a constant 14 when the subs arent hitting

If that is true the amp is either broken or the load is too low.Where are you measuring the voltage?

It's got a visual display on the amp itself

what is a "healthy" voltage, per se?

I would check your Ohm load on the subs.

Yeah they are, what would be a better-suited amp to power these 2 subs? If i can't fix this problem, i'll just buy a new amp

Ther are lots of good amps anything from an RF500BD to alpine , mtx and so on that will do 700+ watts into a 2 ohm load
