Amp Clipping

ive been running an sa-12 with a soundstream 2000.1d at 2 ohms for about 2 months now and until just recently its started to clip. i havent changed any gains on the amp everything is still the same as when i had first put it in so why is it now all of a sudden starting to clip?

Uhm... describe exactly what is going on, how can you tell it is "clipping"?

i was thinking the same thing. you cant actually hear a "clipping"..

That happend to my gf on the sa 12 I got her for her bday, I foundout that the mdf was exposed to water somehow and it had a big leak,I changed out that panel and it sounds great again, might wanna check for leaks, anything other than that it could be a lose wire

the amp will turn off if the volume is up and it plays a bass note and if they are at lower levels it will try to shut off but just play really weak

sounds like it could be the electrical system just isnt keeping up with it anymore. check all your grounds, and go through your wiring with a fine toothed comb and a dmm.

Sound's like some bad voltage drop. Go through and tighten up all of your grounds and double check your big 3.
