well.. basically.. d class amps are very efficient.. and dont overheat as fast as A/B amps... d class amps also create a lot of distortion at higher frequencies, which is why d class amps are typically meant to drive subwoofers(because they are so efficient)

AB amps are the standard garden variety amp that 80% of the caraudio world makes.. overall good at anything... they just tend to heat up quickly.. hence, not very efficient for driving low frequencies(which for some reason require a lot of energy)

There's also class a class T class G ect...... My favorite for subs are class T. Efficient lke class D, but they have nearly as clean of a signal as class A/B's...... not to mentiont hat avionixx 1200.2s are cheap as shit.

those amps are most likely (95% certain) that those amps are AB amps...

oh.. and i know all about t,x and a class amps.. i just went ahead on gave a little bit of the basic stuff that everyone should know if they are into carstereo stuff
