well.. basically.. d class amps are very efficient.. and dont overheat as fast as A/B amps... d class amps also create a lot of distortion at higher frequencies, which is why d class amps are typically meant to drive subwoofers(because they are so efficient)What is a class d amp or any other class for that matter? What does the different classes signify?
Especially in a car. Gotta love an amp that can only have a maximum efficiency of 25% //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifhttp://www.bcae1.com/ampclass.htm
My absolute favorite? Class A...but they're pretty limited in use.
But it keeps you warm on those cold winter nights //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifGotta love an amp that can only have a maximum efficiency of 25%
those amps are most likely (95% certain) that those amps are AB amps...Thanks man....good answer. How can I find out what class amp I have. I have a kicker kx800.2 and a phoenix gold mps2500?
