amp channel blown..

I was wondering what the possible ways an amp channel can be blown..besides a faulty amp.

wondering because in 2 years ive owned 2 diff amps JL amps..and the channels blown twice.

Same channel both times? If so I would suspect and install error related to that channel, ie shorting speaker wire.

Even if it wasn't the same channel, I would still suspect an install problem as the culprit.
