Amp blown?

I've delayed on posting about this because i've been busy but I think my subwoofer amp might be blown, but it's odd. One day I was playing it was fine, next day I get in my car it works for a little and then it gets quiet and eventually it's making no noise. Eventually it would only play at loud head unit volumes but way quieter than it should be. I once turned it up the day it stopped working and my friend sitting in the back to listen to it said he smelled something weird after playing it about 30 seconds with the head unit cranked up so the bass would play so I turned it down all the way right away and turned the car off for a little so the amp was off. Now it just doesn't play at all, the amp is a Brutus Hifonics BRZ-1200.1D amp the ground it good and power is good, the fuse hasn't blown and the subs are fine, i'm just curious if it could be something with the head unit or if it's the amp. hook another sub up to it and see what happens

run a new set of rca's from head to amp and see what happens.
