hello i'm using a VGA 1600.2 soundstream audio Van Gogh 1800 watt amp and pioneer 12" 2k watt each subs x 2 with a 12.5 volt cap and for 4 years it has been working fine but withen the last year or so its blown one of my subs twice. odd thing is is its blowing the internal power wires of the sub that is fixable. I have no idea what could be causing this

the wire pops off and frays.

A tinsel lead dosent care if the signal is clipped or not..

What generally happens is you either tear them apart from overexcurting the sub or they burn open.. (flexing and stress can create areas of high resistance)

Your best bet is to have the damaged leads replaced if possible..
