Amp arched on battery?? uhhh oh

Just curious but my mom was helpin me install my vr4000d and just great, it slips and touches both terminals on my battery....touched for a split second. It touched on the case. I looked at the board and it still looks pretty.....what ya guys think

I'm hookin it back up later tonight or tomorrow. Mom is gonna get a $300 bill if it aint workin

Sounds kind of like something my buddy did

My very first XXX sub.. he sat it on the battery and the bottom plate touched both positive and negative...and sparks FLEW... took about 3 seconds to get it off....

It melted the bottom plate clear through to the magnets where both posts were touched
