52" + 1080 for $1000? possible?

please send me links or where i should go to see if i can find something atleast 52 inches or bigger lcd tv for 1000 or less?
You can do 52 inches with 1080p for $1300 or 50" with 720p for $899. 50" with 1080 will probably run you $999.

Browse slickdeals.net forums for the absolute best price. I check that site before I buy anything.

ya i really juste dont want to go over a grand, and after tax and everything that 1300 will be closer to 1500. ive seen some 46-50" goin for about what im lookin for, so i might have to go with that, just lookin for deals. thanks for that site, gonna check it now.

you bought one of them? im just wary of buying a refurb, and id hate to have it go out quickly. let me know how you like it, i wouldnt mind snagging one if its good..

you get what u pay for.
get a sharp 120hz and be done with it.
yes, and ill get a smaller tv if i have to sacrifice for quality, but id like the biggest i can get for what i can pay. Also, im not sure of all the specs that i should be worrying about, like i know i need atleast a 120hz, but what about the contrast ratio and all the other stuff they say?

The TV I bought was a 50" Samsung PN50A450 720p for $965 with tax and 2 year warranty, brand new. That's the best TV under a grand for the money IMO.
need 1080, 720 is for noobs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

I did research for a while and this was the best bang for your buck according to reviews...I will def let you no how I like it, I already have a 42" Plasma from way back so we will see how this stacks up

ya, im planning on buying by the end of the week, so trying to get the best deal possible. have needed a new tv for awhile, working with a old school sony 32 tube right now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

if you are further than 7 ft away there is literally no difference between 720p and 1080p on a 50" screen. don't fall victim to all that marketing hype. even if you are closer than 7 ft, a quality 720 kills a mediocre 1080 all day long.
