Im looking for an amp to push this sub. Sub is 600rms with dual 2ohm coils. I want to achieve deep clear bass that also hits you in the chest. Will a RE do this? if not what other 12" sub will deliver DEEP bass and be easy on the wallet?

i got a raw *** pioneer deh7800 which has 5v inputs.

would you go with a sealed box or a rectangle ported box? and what size?

and what amp would push this sub nicely!!

I would go ported for deep bass

about 2-2.5 cubes at 30-34 hz will do the trick.

With the older se's you could push 800-900 daily no problem.

Im unsure if they have changed the coils/soft parts, so i can't say thats so for this sub

they can take it . the *** can take more than the old se models flat wound coils and bigger motor better cooling also . go ported and 2cuft at 32hz theyhithard and clean bro i got 2 for sale d4 though if interested check my for sale thread

thats exactly what that box is, 2 cubic feet rectangle ported @ 32hz

sweet sounds good.

now what amp would you recommend? without breaking the bank

I had eight of the SE subs at one point. I tested a pair on a Us Amps MD2D (which puts out 1,500 watts @ a 1 ohm load) in my friends car. The subs were in a 3.0 ft3 enclosure, tuned @ 32hz. The pair handled the 1,500 watts with ease and sounded very loud/clean. We threw everything from DJ Screw to Michale Graves to Beethoven at those subs, and they didn't disappoint.

Based on my experience, I'd be totally comfortable delivering one SE somewhere around 800 watts daily. Anything more than that may be pushing it, but there's really only one way to find out.....hook dim $hitz up.

Of course, RE Audio has recently changed the SE line, so I don't know about the new model.

i think that box is tuned just a tad low. 34-35 i think is best for a 12" SE. box size is good, and dont be afraid to feed the SE 800-1000 clean watts

well i want low hitting bass so i take it a lower hertz would do that correct? also is there a way to tune the hertz?

and everyone thus far is saying 800-1000 wats rms for the amp , i have checked out the US amp and it seems pretty nice!! But are their any other suggestions for other amps that are maybe a lil less expensive?

WHOAAAAZZZZ

i see RE has changed the line up just a tad. adding a X to everthing and ditching the mitek basket on the *** and the SXx

i wonder if they firgured out the *** spells *** after they added the X too the line up. i mean, can they do that have a sub called the RE ***

My box for two re se 12's on a aq1200d was hitting 144.9 legal on the meter (tl)

4.5 Cubes @ 34hz

90" of port

DOUBLE Baffle

Might be small moofers compared to whatelse you see on the net, but they need extra bracing in the box

So for you, i'd just go half of what mine was.

2.25cubes @ 34hz, 45" of port and brace the crap outta it
