Amp advice 1.5k-2k @ 2 ohms...

What is a quality amp that does 1.5-2k @ 2 ohms and is effecient? The cheaper the better even used but I want something that uses quality components. Not looking to buy right now lol, so don't post up what you have. I will do a WTB thread once I have the $.

I know the SAZ-3000 and 3500 will give me that power plus some and so will the DD M3a. The DC 3.5K will also do it, but all these are a little more than I want to spend. Unless I can find a good deal on used.

What else is out there?

Most of those 3K Korean/Chinese amps will give you about that @ 2 ohms.

I saw JBL/Crown 1400 on here not long ago for a good price. They do max power at 2 or 4 ohm at very low distortion (here's a hint, things are much more efficient at higher impedence)

boston acoustics gt-2300, 1400 @ 2 ohms bridged. i really like the quality of this amplifier. usually you can find it under $300. its a little big but if you ever decide to upgrade your subs/sub amp this will run almost any nice set of components beautifully, really good sound quality and headroom. we used it to run 2 re sx 12's and we were very impressed. then used it on some boston acoustics spz60's and wow!
