Dear forum,
I am asking this question for my father. He drives tractor trailer and listens to nothing but the AM radio. He drives in new york city and listens to WFAN (AM sports radio station), which is obviously broadcasted out of the city.
Recently he has noticed a drop in reception. This makes no sense being that he is very close to the station, when he used to be able to pick it up in western pa/ or ohio. He has it hooked up to a CB antennae and it has always worked.
My question - could this be because of the headunit wearing out? It is the stock headunit and the truck is a 2002.
Would an aftermarket headunit help? New stock replacement? What brands/models/options?
Thanks
