Am I To Loud? Or is my cd player trash?

just food for thought... i had a Jensen Phase Linear and switched to an Eclipse 3200 and it was an amazing difference SQ and SPL, my main point is the ipod integration is wonderful if you are going with a new head unit and going to start using MP3's..

BS! Those high of numbers, you would have been skipping, I don't care what deck you have.
I have had cars in the mid 140's to the 150's with in a 10 year span and every deck I put in there, which were many differenct decks skipped. Some not as much as others, but still skipped. Did the whole foam thing and everything else I could think of. Only time it was limited when it was just sitting there, not bolted down or holding it. When I ran comps, I had wires long enough to run outside and used it that way.
My old teammate would play music at around a 154-155+ and his alpine didn't skip. I

think what really matters is how securely mounted it is. My old Excelon deck would

skip (why i took 3rd at world finals, fvcking deck skipped) because it was not

mounted solid. If i were to hold it, no skipping. Still bitter about that day.

i think the deck is not siting to well. make sure that it's not moving around. when it starts to "skip" put your hand on the deck and press down. if the skipping stops the deck might not be siting right. it dont hurt to take it out and go over what u had to do to put it in...

its your mustang bro

the way the kit fits in there causes tons of vibration to the deck

you can put some type of spacers between between the bolts where kit bolts in...get a changer...or get a badass head unit

My old eclipse 8445 didn't skip during a 158db bass race run

Reading > You

Yea, i posted that before i read all the pages. wasnt aware that you couldnt use those at comps. But for daily i dont see why usb isnt ftw. USB and mp3 cds are pretty much the same quality right? I know store bought cds pwn everything in quality though, arent they like 1200bps or something?

you know what the preout voltage is on that thing??

Fusion does make a deck with Antiskip built in. Works great. I've seen them in many 50+ applications but they **** for bassrace unless you employ toggle switches for the amps.

Haven't hit 150 yet but I will. Just my 2 cents.

the people that are serious about competing that i have seen, usually have the deck out of the car built on a stand of some sorts or mounted somehow on the side of the van.

fiberglass ftw.
