If the deck has cd changer control's look into that and mount it in your trunk away from all the shaking...
Like he said mount it solidly and you should'nt have a problem. Before companies built solid transports, the buffer memory was the rage. That was nearly 15 years ago. Modern CD transports have good enough vibration control that a buffer isn't needed assuming that the unit is solidly mounted.
Back when CD players first came out, I had a friend with a wall of six 15s in his Mazda lowrider and it would shut the CD player off every single time he played a bass heavy song. As a result he would pull out the CD player and pop in the tape deck. I used to always give him a hard time in college because he had text books, and both pull out units in his back pack!Look at my sig to see what I have in my car. Anything over around 40hz makes my cd player skip. Even new cd's do it. I cant even play Late night Tip bu 3 6 Mafia. The lows sound like shit, But anything above say 40hz makes my cd player skip. What can I do? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
BS! Those high of numbers, you would have been skipping, I don't care what deck you have.x2 on the foam padding.
Put some padding around the cd player, and cushion the vibrations.
I've been up to 152dB and never had a skipping problem, running my Alpine 9887.
My friend Andrew is running 3 DC LvL 5 18's and 3 SAZ 3000's and runs a Eclipse..I believe its an 8455? Don't quote me on that, but he's up to 157.3dB and no skipping problems at all. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
