Am I To Loud? Or is my cd player trash?

I did not mean to come off as a dick. I know I aint shit. Just hate when I ask a specific question, and its ignored to bring up another point. Good thinking on the braising and foam. I'll see what I can do. Once again, sorry for coming off as a pre Madonna. That was not my intention.

x2 on the foam padding.

Put some padding around the cd player, and cushion the vibrations.

I've been up to 152dB and never had a skipping problem, running my Alpine 9887.

My friend Andrew is running 3 DC LvL 5 18's and 3 SAZ 3000's and runs a Eclipse..I believe its an 8455? Don't quote me on that, but he's up to 157.3dB and no skipping problems at all. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Before companies built solid transports, the buffer memory was the rage. That was nearly 15 years ago. Modern CD transports have good enough vibration control that a buffer isn't needed assuming that the unit is solidly mounted.
Like he said mount it solidly and you should'nt have a problem.

Look at my sig to see what I have in my car. Anything over around 40hz makes my cd player skip. Even new cd's do it. I cant even play Late night Tip bu 3 6 Mafia. The lows sound like shit, But anything above say 40hz makes my cd player skip. What can I do? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif:confused://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
Back when CD players first came out, I had a friend with a wall of six 15s in his Mazda lowrider and it would shut the CD player off every single time he played a bass heavy song. As a result he would pull out the CD player and pop in the tape deck. I used to always give him a hard time in college because he had text books, and both pull out units in his back pack!

I have an 8600 in my car and it skips up there. I've burped my CRX @ 153db at the dash and had to pop the thing out and hold it in my hand. Maybe it's just the particular deck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

BS! Those high of numbers, you would have been skipping, I don't care what deck you have.

I have had cars in the mid 140's to the 150's with in a 10 year span and every deck I put in there, which were many differenct decks skipped. Some not as much as others, but still skipped. Did the whole foam thing and everything else I could think of. Only time it was limited when it was just sitting there, not bolted down or holding it. When I ran comps, I had wires long enough to run outside and used it that way.

Not braging at all. I have an issue and need help and opinions. I already have a "Check This Out Thread" in the build area.
