Sorry this reply took so long. Been busy with school and the end of the semester. Anyways, I'm guessing you are a fellow Rockfordian? LolI'm 45 minutes north, where you from?
Oh, don't go throwing logic at these fools... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Force = Mass X Acceleration. A beefy 8" sub can get loud, but it certainly isn't going to get very low. It still needs to displace the same amount of air as the 15 or 18. You could build a T-line and get it to go pretty low, but what for? A sub built for SPL doesn't usually sound that great. Anyone can build a setup that pumps out numbers at a narrow range of frequencies..Not saying you can't. Seems more efficient cost wise to do it with a larger driver though. Sure a bunch of sa-8s can hit 50 at 29hz. But the cost of drivers and cost of power to do it turns me off it.
Dang. Six Flags is a ways off from where I am. Not too far but if you know where Rockford is then you know what I'm saying. Sounds like you're around 30 mins from me.Nope, I'm by Six Flags, about 10 minutes NE of there to be exact...
