Sure you can turn the amp down, but lets be honest and realistical here.... Are you really going to turn the amps down?

What's with all the strange terminology? Ring terminals are the round connectors you crimp onto wires. The "rear dashboard" (lol!!) is called the Parcel Shelf.

To save power, wiring, and installation time, run 1 big efficient amp for your subs and 1 efficient 4-channel for your mains. You will draw less power and have similar output. 1 run of 4 gauge to each amp is plenty, you could even go 8 gauge on the 4 channel as suggested above.
