ok so i have a 1993 plymouth acclaim yeah i know pos car but i want to fix it up and get it painted but my local shop says to do this is will be about $2200....is this to much or would this be about the right amount.

here is kinda what it looks like now except there are two credit card paint chips all the way down to the base coat right under the rear passenger side window and a dent with a baseballe size paint chip on the edge of the trunk hood and a few dimples from hail damage on the trunk and roof but not noticable unless scrutinizingly looking for them.

current:(remember this is not exactly my car but this is the same color)

thats nice! the guy kept telling me that black costs more because it has to cover up all the dents and dings in the body and it just looked like he was jacking up the price in his mind just cause i picked black

Black is like the worst color that shows imperfection, swirl marks, fish eyes, etc so if he plans on doing a truly good job then I could see the price going up but he is full of poop on the price going up cuz of paint price. Black is one of the cheaper colors out there. and Thanks bro mine is a two tone ebony black on top, midnight blue on bottom, cobalt metal flake and clear coat. and again 1800 all together, 1850 to get specific.
