Ok here is the deal I am trying to get some response but nobody wants to tell me anything on here. I have some 8"l7s 3 of them I had a issue with one of them where I guess I dont know if it was hitting to hard or what but the rubber surround actually seperated from the speaker itself didnt rip just came off on the left of the sub anyway here is the deal that someone has given me and I need to know if I should do it. I have 2 more 8l7s I have a guy that wants to trade me 1 of my 8l7's for 2 brand new 12" mtx 5500's I want to know if i should do it or if I should pass on this deal. Can someone help me please

You dont like the MTX you can sell them and get more L7s.

Ok, Im going to be honest.

The reason you are getting no replies is simple. Your first post above is one sentence and extremly hard on the eyes and head to read. We have all day...please use some punctuation.

Surround can come off for several reasons. Stress from over excursion...Glue failed...something hit it and caused it...the list can go on.

Get some epoxy or CA glue and glue it back down. If its real bad, give us a pic so we can advise you better.

how many l7s do u have? IF u have 5 of them, put them all in. They will be alot louder than the mtxs. I think u should be louder that the mtxs with just 3, if u have the right amount of power. WHat amps/amp are u running?

here in lies another problem. I had a dude do this for me that was supposed to be all that. I told him my budget $2,000 what I got was a pioneer dvd hu 5 1/4 inch mtx I think tx5001's which I fried in about a week some 3 way mtx6x9's 3 8l7s 2 of them are powered by a eclipse xa1000 and the 3rd one is powered by the 5th channel on a kicker kx700.5 I am just frusterated and feel like i have some bull $hit system. I am blowing $hit left and right and the install was never finished so I have wires all over. so I dont know what to do

Yeah I figured that out to bad it is to late. Oh and to make matters even worse my pioneer dvd hu got jacked out of my car. So now I am running a alpine I think cda7883 maybe any of this crap worth keeping in my journey of a whole new system

It got jacked because you didn't pay the dude his money, lol, you had like 6 months to pay the guy too big brother, lol.

Just spend some time on here and learn how to do it yourself so you don't have to rely on someone else.

That's what I've been preaching to him for the past few months and even offered to come over and help him, I did my entire system by myself from learning on this forum, yeah I installed systems before when I was younger but I didn't know about a lot of things that I have learned now. This forum has been a great place and I would rather install something myself and know it's done properply then rely on someone else and have to pay for them to boot.
