so i bought a pair of dual 4 ohm S12L7's. i want to load them at 1 ohm off a brutus bx1500d? but im not sure if i have the right ohm model subs to do that. i thought i got the right ones but then i read the kicker manual and now im not sure. plz assure me that i made the right choice. cuz it says.....

Wiring Options

Solo-Baric L7 woofers are available with dual 2 Ohm or dual 4 Ohm voice coils. Both coils should always be hooked up.

The dual 2 Ohm woofer will give you a 1 Ohm or a 4 Ohm load depending on if the coils are wired in parallel or in series. The dual 4 Ohm woofer will give a 2 Ohm or 8 Ohm load depending on how they are wired.

Parallel Wiring

Dual 2 Ohm=1 Ohm Load

Dual 4 Ohm=2 Ohm Load

Series Wiring

Dual 2 Ohm=4 Ohm Load

Dual 4 Ohm=8 Ohm Load

The manual is just stating that if you were to hook up one driver you would be running either a 2 or 8 ohm load. When you hook up two however, both wired in parallel, you drop the final load on the amp down to 1 ohm....no worries, just follow the pictures posted above.
