i get 4-5 responses just like that everytime i put an ad on CL. Its the oldest scam on the net. I had the same guy send me the exact (cut and paste) email for 2 seperate items that I had for sale and it they were 2 totally abstract items, like a autographed football, and then a BMX helmet....

Yes, it is a typical Craigslist scam. It is written in a highly generic format. Feel free to mess around with the guy's head if you have some time.

"...before i have my mover come for the pick up" That is a typical line. They usually use these scams for cars and crap.

My cousin used to receive them. I never did because I put "CASH ONLY" on the bottom of ALL of my ads. I also used to put "LOCAL PICKUP ONLY".

I had the same thing happen on my Audi when I put it up there. I had about 5 people tell me they will send a check and I should expect it in the next week so I could take my ad down. The funny thing is I told them I had a local buyer and they responded saying something like "its okay my shipping company will come and pick it up"
