Am i about to get fired?

Someone recently was hired part time at the store i work at part time, because i asked my boss to cut my hours back from 15-25 hrs a week to 15, because of my senior project. She ended up hiring someone else... i figured this is because she was going to cut back the only other part time person to 5 hrs till he quits... my shift supervisor is always saying how much she hates him. Anyways he just finished training literally today.

I worked on friday saturday sunday and now today (tues). On sunday the store manager, not my boss or shift supervisor, who i was working with tells me that my register was 6 off on friday and 15 off on saturday. Everyone that worked on my register, including her got written up... it was only me and her on sat and me and another girl on friday. Because i got written up twice, i am put on a register no one else uses with the money already counted. That was today. I counted everything twice and did it all in my head before looking at the screen for the amount of change to make sure i dont look at the wrong number. I know i didnt miss anything. Well at the end of my shift, my shift supervisor tells me that my register was 16 short and to come to the office while he tries to figure it out. He kept saying that it will prolly get sorted out and that the money will probably show up. He said that it gets mixed up every now and then. Anyways i saw on the screen it was 15.01... not 16. Anyways i was in there for like 20 min while he was counting shit and he kept telling me even if i do get a third, i get probation... if it happens again after that i will get fired. Making it not sound like a big deal and kept saying no one thinks im stealing even though i never implied anyone thought that. A few things that i caught him say were "besides theres other places than *name of store* in the world" and he said if it does happen a 4th i can just quit right when i find out its off so i wont get fired.

To me it seems like there just doing this to get me fired... i worked 4 months and other than the first week i havent had my register off. Now its off 3/4 days. What do yall think?

 
mabye one of your co workers is taking money out? my register was 12 bucks short a couple days ago. cuz smoe fucker said he gave me a 20 when he gave me a 10 and he was fucking bitching and i did not feel like dealing with him cuz i had a big line.

 
No one is aloud to work out of someone else register. If they do, then mistakes usually happen.

Also, drops should be made every 60 minutes as long as business is alive.

During a drop, i would ask how much money should be in there and count it yourself when no customers are present. This should also be done when a boss is present as it is against policy to do it just because, you know.

If you always get the right amount... well u know where i'm goin with that.

Oh, almost forgot, a business should be able to show proof via receipt of how much should be in the register, do NOT go by word if u think they are lying to you.

 
if you believe it, you can do it. As a former manager, I would hire ppl to help cover hours. I had to fire ppl after hiring the new ppl b/c they wouldn't do their work and tell me "what does it matter, you were going to fire me anyway". when the truth was that I just needed another person to help with coverage. if you start acting like you're fired, you'll get fired. do what's in your control, it's called "do you job" and you will not get fired.

 
Did you count your money at the beginning of your shift? It could be whomever is dishing the money out to your register. I can rule out that you dont work at Walmart. If you are... they are doing things *** wrong and are not following cash office program. Easy things to follow. Always count the register when you first get on. Double check those new bills. Count the money before you turn it in. Make a note. If they call you in again compare your count with the amount that is currently being counted in your presence. I have used the "Cut your hours until you quit" scheme. Its easy and effective and legal. But cutting someone's till short to get rid of them is both illegal and stupid. The missing money went somewhere into someones pocket. But unless its a small retailer (Sounds Like it) it may not be worth the trouble. All I can say is that I think someone is pocketing the money at your expense.

 
Well the first 3 months i sucked up a good bit bc i wanted a 90 day raise. ( which i never got... i got hired at minimum wage bc thats what i asked and they told me they cant do raises but yearly. THey know i quit after 10 months when i go to college. Everyone makes more than me and i was the most productive. Theres only 1 person plus the manager working. I would like constantly check the counter if i was stocking and was always stressed about not getting mad customers when it was because i was the only person. Now i still do my job... everything thats asked i get done. However im not going to be stressing out over a customer that is waiting when im busy with another customer... basically im being kinda slack but still productive. Another thing is, Im still getting normal hours and the other guy is getting his hours cut back. Also, they know i smoke weed... youd think they would drug test me.

I dont wanna like demand to see the money counted and all taht shit bc if it comes out right and they werent gonna fire me i look like a douchebag.

No it doesnt. It means you are possitive you didnt take the money yourself and you infact know that it's not you making the "mistake." Honestly i think the new guy is taking the money before if it just started happening when he showed up....... it makes sense. I may have misread and the money may have been short before he started.

 
its not any employee i knwo for sure... wasnt working with the same ones anyways. If it is anyone its gotta be my shift supervisor or manager or someone.
