am/fm radio womt work

one of my friends has a durabrand??? db1200 hu the radio recever will not pick up any any channels on am or fm the antenna is pluged in and all the cable to the antenna is good the antenna is tight on the base. would this be an interanl problem in the hu ??

yeah, more than likely a bad tuner. Check to make sure that the power antenna circuit is powered up, depending on if the car has that. You didn't mention the type of car though, some cars can have different issues as well.

it was working fine for a while but one day it stopped its a chevy lumina no power antena she said that after about an houre of being on that it would work. it just a cheep walmart brand i told her to get rid of it and get a pioneer or kenwood lol
