Okay, I need a head unit for my new system, 2 12" Jl w3-v3 and 500/2 rockford fosgate amp. I'm torn between the Pioneer DEH-P5000UB http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=6216 and the Alpine CDA 9887 http://www.crutchfield.com/S-fJUtb6dJW4G/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?i=500CDA9887.

Which should I go for?

I would definitely get that Alpine. Not really much of a comparison between the two as they are in different leagues and price ranges.

X2 maybe if you were talking about the Pioneer Premier 880 it would be a different story.

But between those two, the alpine hands down.
