normally if i were int he mood of buying some subs id say 2 EDa's or SEs .... but .... the local stereo shop guy was just given some sort of bonus from audiobahn after dealing them/selling so much of there stuff over the last few years.

he received 6 flameQs and 6 alumQs as well as some component speakers for free. he can give them away/sell them/whatever he wants to do. hes going to sell them for slightly less than he normally would *good businessman* but since its practically my 2nd home he said for 100 bucks hed give me 2 of either sub. no tax, no this or that just 100 bucks and its a deal.

i currently have 2 IT series vegas running off my jbl 600.1 with pushes nicely in my truck bed *i have a bed cut* i also have a 525 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms fosgate amp that my friend GAVE me sicne he joined the air force until he gets back ...... riiight //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

now i have the choice of either sub, both approx same value and wattage just different VCs and fabrication. i can either go the flameQs and run each sub at 2ohms *1 on each channel* or get the alumQs and run each speaker at 3ohms on a channel by itself or hook each of them up at 6ohms and bridge them over the 2 channels for a 1.5ohm load.

are both of these subs about the same SPL/SQ ? i would really be able to benefit if i had a 1ohm stable amp and 3 alumQs but thats not an option, so instead of the headache im thinking i should just g witht he flameQs at 2ohms per channel b/c it will for sure work w/o any amp problems. the subs will be in my truck bed facing forwards right at the end of the bed in a 5cube box *2.5 per chamber* sealed.

I would go with Audiobahn AW1206T that one becuase it

1. looks cooler

2 can handle more power

3 has easier voice coils to wire
