Aluminum Wire or Copper?

even if copper is a better conductor, I use 4alt aluminum wire at work and I always have TONS of scrap of it

It cant be WAY to big of a difference so why pay 75 dollars for 2 runs of copper when I could do 4 of aluminum for free?

The only reason you would need to have a copper conductor is in extreme tolerance situations where the difference between a copper and aluminum conductor would be a factor.
In your case, there would be no difference, so long as you don't need the extra current carrying capacity of the copper wire. From Knu's site, the KLM is able to handle 250A where the kollosus is able to handle the full 300A of 1/0 wire.
kollosus is about the same size as klm. i own both

FWIW, I just installed some KLM over the weekend. It isn't very flexible in a garage that is near freezing, but who cares? Also, the difference between 4awg copper and ~2.54ga KLM in amperage rating is negligible - remember most amps aren't very efficient at all and for the difference in price, the KLM is extremely worth it for a budget/simple install.

yea its f'd......ford said they can't even get a reading from the pcm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif so something fried
