Alternator or Battery first ?

Im putting 2 aq hdc 12s in my honda civic 2004, powered by aq 2200d, i also have a mb quart 4 channel at 80watts rms each channel powering door speakers. Im wondering wat would be the best electrical upgrades to make with out wasting money, should it be a battery in the trunk or alt and battery or wat ?? thank you for your responses

how much amp alternator ? the battery i plan in getting soon is a 2400 kinetic hc, would that battery be good to go with a 160 amp alt or do i need more like a 220 ? cause to get 220 amp alternator from mechman is like $500 ! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

you can do the battery first if you like ,the thing t remember is that the stock alt cant keep up with the draw from the amp when turned up loud ,so recharge them once a week until you also upgrade the alt.and the bigger alt you get the better for your system.

ok so heres the down low. I have a 2003 civic and i have a 220a alt with a DDm3a on it with a mig batt in the back.

now that that is said. It makes no sense to replace your alt first because for you to bene fit from the alt you need a power storage center. YOU NEED another battery if you are doing the alt.

If i was doing it again i would have gotten a kinetic or something similar for the back instead of just a C&D battery because kenetics unload faster for power demand.

I have a 08 civic with stock alt(80amp) with the little stock toy battery, and was running around 900 watts (ab amps-100 amps in fuses) and got minimal dimming. I changed out the battery for a group 34 AGM, did the big 3, and got a class d amp coming in tomorrow. Will be running a little more that 1000watts of more efficient power, unplugging the eld, and will see what happens. If it's too much I have a few options for H/O alts without spending close to $600.
