alternative for Birch?

whats an alternative (cheaper, but similar in weight) to 3/4" birch, that i can use for my final trim panel on the wall (also serving as a flush mount for the subs)....The "Blondewood" i used for the whole box, is 45 bux now at lowes..

i need one last sheet, it will be the 3rd baffle on the box. has to be 3/4"

Trupan is nearly the same weight per square foot as Baltic Birch. Wont find it at HD or Lowes though.

Just spring for the Birch. It's only $10 more around here, I don't know about where you live.
