Altenator Question for range rover

Cant find a boosted alt for my truck. I just replaced the factory alt and I know i need to upgrade my electrics. Being that I cant find a upgraded altenator what should i do? I'm thinking about adding two batts but will that just strain the alt and cause it to burn out again? Can someone upgrade my alt?

Got an 06 Range Rover. system consists of two Memphis Big Belle's pushing 6-4", 4-6" & 2- sundown z 12". Daily Driver Not into comps or anything and I rarely push my system hard for more than 10 - 15 minutes.

yea, and alternator shop can rebuild/upgrade your alternator...

from what I hear, their not as good as a totally new high output alternator, but should suffice for your needs

I asked my local alt shop about a year about it, they said its generally about a dollar per amp to rebuild it...

I'd google alternator shops in your area, call around, check reviews, etc... even try calling the most reputable car audio installer shop in your area, and ask who they use/what they recommend...

Most of the local shops dont even want to touch my truck or they give me outrageously high prices because its a Range Rover.

Don't get a rewound alt, they have a poor lifespan because the alt wasn't made to handle the extra current output. A high output is going to cost you, there is no way getting around it. But much like everything else in this hobby, you get what you pay for.

Not trying to get around paying. I'm trying to find one. Cant find any HO made for my truck. I just paid $600 bucks to replace a 150 amp factory alt. this is definitely not about the funds.

Use a smaller amp along with more efficient speakers...problem solved.
