Alt whine after changing speakers?

I have 2 amps. 1 on the front and 1 on a woofer. My door speakers were getting old after 9 years so I bought new 6.5's and changed them out. That day I played with the gain a little, but barely touched it.

Next day my door tweeters were making a screeching sound to the music. I searched a read something could be grounded so I tore the doors apart and trimmed some screws and cut some metal for clearance. Put it back together knowing nothing is touching and now I have alt whine and still some screeching.

Switching RCA's around didn't fix anything.

And at the same time when I shut off my woofer (on another amp) I get highs through it without bass. I mute it through the head unit.

Any ideas at all what I should look for. I've had the system for many years and all I did was change out 2 speakers.

Thanks for your time

Chris
