ok first off, installed it today, so im guessing its working, is there anyway to check if its running to its full potential though?

also, becuase of a bracket not fitting, i only have the bottom two bolts holding the alt in. its 100% stable, so thats not a problem right?

umm it may be stable but if you paid for an alt that fits your vehicle i would want it to fit perfectly.

also, there is a little plus that branches off the big plug to my alt. the big one fits, theres no slot for the small one. anyone know what it is? the car ran fine for about an hour after that no problems

I would find a clamp dmm that can read DC current and check the output...what voltage are you seeing at the battery with it on?
