as some of you know i won the e.a. alt from the contest on roe. and i greatly appreciate it. but ive been havin a lil trouble lately, my battery died 3 times since i put it in. and i have 3 batts in my car. but i have an adjustable external voltage regulator. i had it set around 14.6 - 14.9. and i have noticed on some days it will go up to 15.5 volts witch im really not worried about. the problem is when im at idle (600 rpm) it rests at 11.8 - 12.2. is this normal?. and it gets really hot after 2 minutes of the car running. with no major load on it. so today i put the factory one back in, and its sits at 13.0 no matter what rpm, used to sit at 14.2. i have to get a 9v batt for my dmm but im wonderin if its somethin else or if after dien so many times my batt took a shit. idk
