alt help!!!!

I have an EA alt and at idle I get 14.7volts but as I step on the gas and get the rpms up alil then it goes to 15.8 and the chargeing lite comes on has this happened to anyone and what is the cause of it? I mean it's kicking off the radio and other things so this is a problem. plz help asap

this is in a 88 civic and a 12 volt system

are you sayin that when you give it gas it drains ur system rather than charge it? if so you need a new alternator. this happend to me twice. the alternators regulator is going out/gone. a new alternator is what yuo need im sure.

no, voltage goes too high, call EA, something is wrong with the alt more than likely

Sounds like a bad regulator.
