Go to autozone and rent the tools then...get a jack and tire iroen and what ever other tools u need
Alt is facing downwards and you really can't access it without being under the vehicle. Removing the wheel is your easiest option because once youre under there youre looking straight at the positive postYour car should have come with some kind of lug wrench.
Regardless, you can probably do it without taking the wheel off. I don't know why the wheel would even be in the way, considering.

if that is the one with the 4cyl zetec motor, that's an easy one. all you had to do remove the accessory belt and one bolt and the alt rolls to the top for easy access.reminds me of doing harshaws 01 ish Cougar. Stupid fords.
