Go to autozone and rent the tools then...get a jack and tire iroen and what ever other tools u need

Your car should have come with some kind of lug wrench.
Regardless, you can probably do it without taking the wheel off. I don't know why the wheel would even be in the way, considering.

Alt is facing downwards and you really can't access it without being under the vehicle. Removing the wheel is your easiest option because once youre under there youre looking straight at the positive post

my friend has a jack and his dad had a huge toolbox of about every tool you could think of but i dont think he has it anymore. im going to his house to do the big 3 becuase he has way more tools then me.

Oh. That *****. My alternator is nowhere near either wheel.

In that case, OP, you should remove the wheel.

granted i don't have the same vehicle as you but i imagine it's the same story. just follow the power wire and you should be able to tell

This is gonna be easy.....come on now....u don't have ur cars on cheap jack and tire iron?....dude its so easy I kno mid 90 chrysler mini vans had them on the bottom and a few other mid 90 american cars....this is so simple to do ur just thinking to much into it

if that is the one with the 4cyl zetec motor, that's an easy one. all you had to do remove the accessory belt and one bolt and the alt rolls to the top for easy access.
